Job Site Observations & Job Safety Analysis
Updated: Sep 24
Power Link Utilities uses both Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and Job Site Observations (JSO) to help identify hazards and maintain safe work practices.
Job Safety Analysis
Before work begins, the Foreman or person in charge conducts a Daily Job Briefing with the employees assigned to the work. The JSA form is completed and signed by employees performing the work as well as job site visitors.
Following the briefing, the Foreman or person in charge confirms that employees understand their specific assignments and the overall job setup.

Job Site Observations
Our safety personnel conduct Job Site Observations to verify that crews are following Power Link Utilities safety standards. Upon arrival at a site, the crew completes a job briefing along with PPE, vehicle, and equipment checks.
Safety personnel observe the work being performed and review compliance with PLU safety expectations. The observation is documented and discussed with the crew leader, and the completed observation is signed by both the crew leader and the safety personnel conducting the JSO.
These processes provide an additional layer of communication, accountability, and hazard awareness throughout the workday.
